tourney's first game, as they shot 68% in the first quarter and cruised to a

at the buzzer to advance the Mustangs to the second round, with a one-point
victory over Richards. DePaul Prep outscored Morton 35-12 in the
second half to cruise to their seventh straight opening round HC Classic
victory. Marian Catholic led wire-to-wire in their 51-39 win versus
Maine South. Rockford Auburn never trailed in their 60-47 win with
Willowbrook. Hinsdale Central shook off a three-point first half
deficit to defeat Oak Forest 71-52. Homewood-Flossmoor shot a
blistering 59.6% from the field to outscore Saint Charles east 83-58
to complete first-round action. Lincoln-Way Central, Richards, Maine South and Saint Charles East all won their second day consolation round contests. Oswego East outscored Stevenson 32-19 in the second half to advance to the semi-finals. DePaul Prep outscored Morgan Park 31-14 in the second half to secure their fifth HCHC Final Four berth. Marian Catholic shot 46% from the three-point arc to help defeat Rockford Auburn 54-49. Hinsdale Central jumped out to an 11-point first half lead and limited Homewood-Flossmoor to 34% shooting from the field in a 69-59 win.
