2022 GAME 31 RECAP: MARIAN CATHOLIC 43, DEPAUL PREP 30 (3rd Place)

HINSDALE, Ill. – Quentin Jones and Donovan Juzang combined to score 32 points to lead Marian Catholic to a 43-30 win over DePaul Prep in the third-place game of the 2022 Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic.

Marian Catholic (10-5) scored the first bucket of the game and never trailed, leading 7-4 after one quarter and 17-11 at the half. The Spartans led 29-17 after three quarters and led by as many as 15 points in the fourth quarter before closing out the contest with a 13-point win.

Jones was named to the all-tournament team after totaling a team-leading 18 points and eight rebounds. Juzang added 14 points and three rebounds while Tre Davis scored seven. Marian Catholic shot 42.1 percent (16-of-38) from the floor but just 18.2 percent (2-of-11) from downtown.

Maurice Thomas was named to the all-tournament team and finished with five points for DePaul. Peter Chambers led the Rams in the loss with 13 points and five rebounds. The Rams struggled with their shooting, finishing the contest at just 20.4 percent (10-of-49) from the floor and only 16.7 percent (3-of-18) from downtown.
