2022 GAME 14 RECAP: DEPAUL PREP vs.MORGAN PARK

HINSDALE, Ill. – DePaul Prep outscored Morgan Park 31-14 in the second half to earn the 64-42 victory in the quarter-finals of the Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic.

DePaul Prep (7-4) trailed by seven at the end of the opening quarter, but took advantage of back-to-back single digit quarters by Morgan Park to secure a spot in the semifinals.               

Morgan Park (5-9) was led by Kyle Duff-Hudson who finished with 10 points, three assists and three rebounds. Following closely behind was Orlando James with nine points and Dwayne Haliburton with seven points for the Mustangs in the loss. 

Leading the way for the Rams was Maurice Thomas with 16 points, while Robert Walls finsihed with 15 points and dished out four assists. Jonas Johnson and Peter Chambers added in 10 points apiece and pulled down eight and three boards respectively.                           

The Mustangs shot 43.2 percent (16-of-37) from the field, including 33.3 percent (6-of-18) from downtown compared to the Rams 44.2 percent (23-of-52) from the field and 56.3 percent (9-of-16) from behind the arc. 

DePaul Prep will face Oswego East in Wednesday’s semifinal at 7:00 p.m. Morgan Park will take-on Stevenson in fifth-place bracket at 3:45 p.m.
