2022 GAME 13 RECAP: OSWEGO EAST vs. STEVENSON HINSDALE, Ill. – Oswego East outscored Stevenson 32-19 in the second half to cruise to a 56-39 victory in the quarter-finals of the Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic. Oswego East (12-2) led almost the entire contest, only being outscored in the second quarter 11-8. Stevenson was led by Jack Dabbs who finished with nine points and three rebounds. Following closely behind was Aidan Bardic with eight points and Christian Uremovich with seven points and seven boards for the Patriots in the loss. Leading the way for Oswego East was Bryce Shoto with 17 points and three boards, while Jehvion Starwood finsihed with 14 points and dished out four assists. Mekhi Lowery pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds and chipped in eight points of his own in the win. The Wolves shot 46.8 percent (22-of-47) from the field, including 41.7 percent (5-of-12) from downtown compared to the Patriots 36.6 percent (15-of-41) from the field and 29.4 percent (5-of-17) from behind the arc. Oswego East will face the winner of the Morgan Park/DePaul Prep matchup in Wednesday’s semifinal at 7:00 p.m. Stevenson will face the loser of the Morgan Park/DePaul Prep contest in fifth-place bracket at 3:45 p.m. |
