2022 GAME 25 RECAP: OAK FOREST 87, GLENBARD EAST 82

HINSDALE, Ill. – DeShawn Nolan scored 25 points to lead Oak Forest to an 87-82 win over Glenbard East in a consolation game of the 2022 Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic.

Oak Forest (6-7) led 21-18 after one quarter, but Glenbard East (3-12) outscored Oak Forest 27-14 in the second quarter to carry a 45-35 lead into halftime. Oak Forest cut the deficit down to just four points (64-60) after three quarters. The score was tied for the 10th time at 82-82 with 1:28 remaining. Oak Forest scored the final five points of the game, including buckets from Je’Sean Shannon and Chris Sieverin to pull away for the five-point win.

Oak Forest shot 50.0 percent (32-of-64) from the floor, including 23.1 percent (6-of-26) from 3-point range. Nolan scored a game-high 25 points, shooting 9-of-14 from the floor and adding four assists. Sieverin came off the bench to score 14 points and grab five rebounds while Shannon tallied 12 points.

Glenbard East shot 52.9 percent (27-of-51) from the field, including 52.4 percent (11-of-21) from downtown. Four players reached double figures in scoring led by Aleks Jajic’s double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds. Michael Nee added 19 points while Trevor Rehnstrom scored 18. Jack Ryan finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
