HINSDALE, Ill. – Ben Oosterbann poured in 21 points to lead Hinsdale Central to the championship game of the Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic with 44-27 win over Marian Catholic.

Hinsdale Central advanced to the championship game for the first time since the tournament began in 2015. The Red Devils led from wire-to-wire, scoring the game’s opening buckets and never trailing. The Red Devils led 10-5 after the first quarter and then doubled their cushion at the half with a 22-12 lead. Ben Oosterbaan led Hinsdale Central with 12 points in the opening half, matching the output of the entire Marian Catholic squad.

Hinsdale Central increased their lead to 35-22 after three quarters and led by as many as 17 points while cruising to the victory.

Oosterbaan shot 9-of-19 to lead the Red Devils, finishing with a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds. Chase Collignon and Emerson Eck added six points apiece for the Red Devils. Hinsdale Central shot 39.5 percent (17-of-43) from the floor, including 36.4 percent (4-of-11) from downtown. The Red Devils enjoyed a 36-20 edge in rebounding.

Marian Catholic shot just 28.2 percent (11-of-39) from the floor and only 23.1 percent (3-of-13) from 3-point distance. Quentin Jones led Marian Catholic in the loss with eight points and five rebounds.

Marian Catholic will face DePaul Prep in tomorrow’s third-place game at 7:00 p.m. Hinsdale Central will face Oswego East in tomorrow’s championship game at 8:30 p.m.
