2022 GAME 28 RECAP: MORGAN PARK 63, ROCKFORD AUBURN 58

HINSDALE, Ill. – Orlando James scored a tournament-high 28 points to lead Morgan Park to a 63-58 win over Rockford Auburn in a consolation game of the 2022 Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic.

Morgan Park (6-10) outscored Rockford Auburn (10-6) 35-19 in the second half to overcome an 11-point halftime deficit and come away with the win. The game was tied at 56-56 with less than two minutes remaining, but Morgan Park closed the contest on a 7-2 run to earn the win.

James was named to the all-tournament team for his efforts, finishing with 28 points, nine rebounds and five assists while shooting 10-of-16 from the floor. Kyle Duff-Hudson came off the bench to score 13 while Randy Walls added 11 points for Morgan Park. Pierce Stevenson collected nine rebounds for the Mustangs.

Morgan Park shot 54.5 percent (24-of-44) from the floor, including 35.3 percent (6-of-17) from beyond the arc.

Rockford Auburn shot 41.1 percent (23-of-56) from the field and 24.1 percent (7-of-29) from 3-point distance. Champ Parker led the Knights with 10 points while Brennan Horton-Lee, Amir Danforth and Rakim Chaney all scored nine points apiece.
