RANKED TEAMS TO COMPETE AT HINSDALE CENTRAL HOLIDAY CLASSIC
The strongest field, from top to bottom, in the Chicagoland area will be
in competition at this year's Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic.
There are three different teams ranked in the Top Ten and every first

HINSDALE CENTRAL HOLIDAY CLASSIC FIRST ROUND PAIRINGS ANNOUNCED
Five Thanksgiving Tournament champions and six other schools with a
single loss have combined for a 35-8 record through the first week of
play, and will be part of the deepest field in the four-year history of
the Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic. Prior to opening week play,
a record number five teams were ranked in Chicagoland's Top 25
pre-season listing, and eleven different schools were ranked in the Top

HINSDALE CENTRAL HOLIDAY CLASSIC BOASTS TOP TALENT
A pair of seniors who are scheduled to participate in this year's HCHC
have verbally committed to play at Division I universities next year.
Oswego East star Ray J Dennis will attend Boise State and
DePaul Prep standout Perry Cowan will play at Brown University.
Dennis averaged 17.2 points, 4.9 assists and 4.3 rebounds for the
20-game winner Wolves last year and was the Kendall County News Prep
Player of the Year. Cowan, who will be a four-year starter on the
varsity this season, 18.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and three assist as a
junior en rout to being named to the All Chicago Catholic League team.
The tandem is one of many outstanding prospects who will participate in
the 4th Annual Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic this year.

WILLOWBROOK JOIN 2018 HCHC FIELD
Two teams that won a
collective 46 games last year will join the 2018 edition of the Hinsdale
Central Holiday Classic this December. Oswego East was the
Southwest Prairie runner-up last year and lost only twice between the
second week of December and the first week of March on its way to a
twenty-win season. The Wolves are anchored by Kendall County News
Player of the Year Ray J Dennis, who averaged 17.2 points per game last
season and is considered one of the biggest breakout players in the
Class of 2019. Advancing as far as any team in their school
history last season, the Warriors of Willowbrook were sectional
finalists and won 26 games. Guard Matas Masys connected on 67
three-point baskets last season and leads a talented group which
recorded 50 victories over the past two seasons. The two new
additions represent teams from conferences which were not included in
previous Hinsdale Central Holiday Classics, as the current 16-team field
now boasts entries from 15 different conferences.
