HINSDALE, Ill. –St. Laurence secured a spot in the championship game of the 2025 Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic by defeating Rockford Auburn 70-49 in Monday night's first semifinal.

St. Laurence (13-1) grabbed a 12-10 lead late in the first quarter and never looked back. The Vikings extended their lead to 33-22 at the half and outscored Rockford Auburn (8-5) 25-12 in the third quarter to open up a 58-34 lead after three quarters. The Warriors led by as many as 30 points before cruising to the 21-point victory.

St. Laurence shot 53.1 percent (26-of-49) from the floor, including 50.0 percent (6-of-12) from downtown. The Vikings won the battle on the glass 36-22. Markese Peoples led the way for St. Laurence, finishing with 20 points and eight rebounds. Noah Corro added 14 points while Jeremiah Toney scored 11 and Reggie Stevens finished with 10. Jacob Johnson and Logan Brown finished with seven points and eight rebounds apiece.

Rockford Auburn shot 35.2 percent (19-of-54) from the field, including 22.7 percent (5-of-22) from downtown. Amir Danforth led the Knights in the loss with 17 points while Champ Parker finished with 13.

St. Laurence will await the winner of the Brother Rice/Morgan Park game in tomorrow's championship game at 8:30 p.m. Rockford Auburn will face the loser of the Brother Rice/Morgan Park contest in tomorrow's third-place contest at 7:00 p.m.
