HINSDALE, Ill. - Brother Rice led from wire-to-wire in a convincing 59-30 victory over Maine South in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic.

Brother Rice (9-3) built a 13-7 lead after one quarter and opened up a 26-14 lead at the half. The Crusaders led by as many as 30 points before cruising to the 29-point win.

Brother Rice shot 54.3 percent (25-of-46) from the floor, including 52.1 percent (4-of-7) from downtown. Joe Niego led the way for the Crusaders with 15 points and five rebounds. Adam McBrearty added eight points while Charlie Wizgird and JJ Manos scored seven points apiece.

Maine South (5-6) finished the game shooting 30.0 percent (12-of-40). Panayiotis Sotos led the way for Maine South with 13 points and six rebounds.

Brother Rice will face the winner of the Morgan Park/Oswego East game in Monday's semifinal at 8:30 p.m. Maine South will face the loser of the Morgan Park/Oswego East in the third-place bracket on Monday at 5:15 p.m.
