2021 GAME ELEVEN RECAP: RICHARDS vs. ROCKFORD AUBURN HINSDALE, Ill. - A monstrous second quarter gave Rockford Auburn (10-3) all the cushion they would need, as the Knights cruised to victory, 68-32. Michael Jones dropped 16 points while hauling in 14 rebounds for the double-double.In the second quarter, Rockford Auburn constricted the offensive flow of Richards, holding the Bulldogs to nine shot attempts from the floor while shooting 11-for-20, en route to a 44-18 lead at the half. The Knights were suffocating on defense all night long, forcing 22 turnovers and turning those into 32 points. Almost as impressive was Rockford Auburn’s 17 offensive rebounds, resulting in 21 points. Rockford Auburn’s lead grew to as many as 38 midway through the fourth quarter. With the win, the Knights advance in the Holiday Classic and will face the winner of St. Charles East and Glenbard East while the Bulldogs will face the loser.
