2021 GAME TEN RECAP: WILLOWBROOK vs. LINCOLN-WAY CENTRAL

HINSDALE, Ill. - Lincoln-Way Central improved to 6-4 with a come-from-behind win on Thursday, December 23 at the 2021 Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic, defeating Willowbrook (4-7), 64-62.

Willowbrook came out of the gates firing, using their defensive pressure to force a number of first half miscues out of Lincoln-Way Central. The Warriors led by as many as 16 in the first half, fueled by 21 fast-break points and 12 points off nine turnovers by the Knights.

Lincoln-Way Central used the halftime break to their advantage, flipping the script and outscoring Willowbrook 21-11 in the third quarter to take a 49-46 lead. The Knights shot a perfect 4-for-4 from beyond the arc in the third quarter, finishing 8-for-16 for the game. Down the stretch, the Warriors couldn’t overcome their slow start to the half, despite out-rebounding the Knights in the final quarter. Willowbrook struggled from the floor, shooting 9-for-32 in the second half.
