2017 GAME 27 RECAP: Glenbrook North 57, Westinghouse 37 HINSDALE, Ill. – Glenbrook North closed out its trip to the 2017 Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic with a 54-37 win over Westinghouse in a consolation round game. Westinghouse (4-12) scored the game’s opening bucket, but Glenbrook North (10-4) outscored Westinghouse 14-7 for the rest of the quarter to take control of the game. The Spartans would not trail for the remainder of the contest, leading by as many as 18 points in the third quarter before coasting to the 17-point win. Glenbrook North shot 43.2 percent (16-of-37) from the floor in the win, including 50.0 percent (6-of-12) from three-point distance. Four players reached double figures in scoring, led by Kellen Witherell’s 20 points on 6-of-12 shooting. Witerell finished 4-of-5 from beyond the arc. Frank Siegien added 12 points and seven rebounds while Evan Barnes and Max Knebelkamp totaled 10 points apiece in the victory. Westinghouse shot 32.5 percent (13-of-40) from the floor in the loss. The Warriors were led by Treondous Robinson’s 13 points. Corinthian Fields finished with six points and two assists, setting a tournament single-season assist record in the process. Elijah Crump added nine points for the Warriors. |
