2017 GAME ONE RECAP: DePaul Prep 43, Crete-Monee 30
Leading by just two points after the first quarter at 6-4, DePaul (10-1) exploded in the second quarter, outscoring Crete-Monee (7-5) 18-3 to build a 24-7 lead at the half. Four players led a balanced attack for DePaul. Pavle Pantovic finished two rebounds shy of a double-double, totaling 11 points and eight rebounds. Lance Moseley and Perry Cowan chipped in with 10 points apiece while Raheem Anthony added nine points. The Rams shot 30.6 percent from the floor (15-of-49) but dominated the game in the paint, outscoring Crete-Monee 24-4 in the lane. Crete-Monee shot an identical 30.6 percent (11-of-36) from the field in the loss. Evans paced the squad with a game-high 19 points and seven rebounds. Evans knocked down four three-pointers in the loss. Deion Harry added six points and eight rebounds for the Warriors.
