2017 GAME TEN RECAP: Westinghouse 63, Richards 57 HINSDALE, Ill. – Westinghouse rallied from a nine-point fourth quarter deficit to stun Richards 63-57 in the consolation bracket of the 2017 Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic. Richards (5-5) opened up a 21-14 lead after the first quarter and led 47-41 after three quarters. The Bulldogs led by nine with 5:30 remaining and were up by eight with five minutes remaining. Westinghouse (4-10) stormed back by scoring the next 12 straight points over 4:30 to open up a 61-57 lead after a pair of free throws from Corinthian Fields. Two more free throws wrapped up the victory for Westinghouse. Fields pumped in a game-high 21 points while flirting with a tripe-double. Fields finished with nine rebounds and seven assists in the win. Elijah Crump added 18 points for the Warriors while DeAngelo James totaled eight points and eight rebounds. Westinghouse shot 44.3 percent (27-of-61) from the floor, including 5-of-17 (29.4 percent) from downtown. Trevon Jones paced Richards with a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds. Paul Zilinskas added 12 points while Kajuan Wines and Kevin Sullivan scored nine points apiece. Richards shot 38.5 percent (20-of-52) from the filed in the loss. Westinghouse will face Homewood-Flossmoor in the consolation semifinals tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. Richards will face Crete-Monee in a consolation game tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. |
